Have you ever had one of those moments when you are doing something and you realize, years ago when you were a younger version of yourself, you could only imagineyourself being where you are now? I have those occasionally, and this headshot session was one of them.
It’s on my introduction page, my “Why.” My first experience with having pictures taken was in our local bank in southern Missouri, after hours. When I walked in with my family and all the lights were set up, the backdrop- all the equipment looked so fancy and professional. The experience was so exciting, so fun. Then when we back back to proof the pictures, they were so glossy, beautiful. The whole experience is one that is branded in my mind.
Then last month, I won’t disclose how many years later, our cousin calls from Independence Bank in Poplar, Montana where she is a loan officer and asks if we could set up a portrait session for herself, her boss and an operations director for an open house they are having. Mike Leinen, the president, has been working there for 30 years, so that calls for a celebration! Then, I was the one walking into the conference room of the bank, I was the one setting up the lights, the backdrops, the setting. Plus, I was the one with a cute assistant. Bonus 😉
It was a moment of recollection for me, it was exciting, and it was a good feeling to realize that things have come full circle and one thing that I wanted at eight years old is coming to fruition and that I’m loving every minute of it. So, thank you, Cherry, for giving us a call and Mike and Tiffany for being so great to work with!
