Do you remember the first time you left home? If you were close with your parents, it could have been one of the most bittersweet times of your young life. The lingering hugs. Your mothers arms wrapped so tight around you. Hands that just won’t quiet let go. Trying to keep the tears at bay because neither one of you wants to let the other know just how hard this is for each of you.
Moving out and moving on is a normal part of life, we all do it. For some, it is a release from a confining life they can’t wait to leave behind, and for some, it is leaving behind a haven of safety and comfort that they will come back to years down the road when times are hard, when life is sad, or when they just need to unwind and find their center again.
This is coming up soon for Kaeleigh. The leap that seems to delineate childhood and adulthood. While it is an exciting time, it will be bittersweet as well. The bond that we seen in our time with Kaeleigh and her mom was truly heartwarming! Coleen said that she has always been a hands on mom, and it made us happy to see the respect and love that Kaeleigh had for her in return.
One of Kaeleigh’s biggest challenges has been asking for help, feeling like she’s imposing on someone else for her own benefit, but she has certainly been able to overcome that challenge and to succeed with the loving support she has received. After graduation, she has plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman and is majoring in Pre-Med. Talk about overcoming challenges! Good job, girl!
Kaeleigh would like to thank her mom and all of her teachers for the unceasing love and support they have shown her – things that have helped her to get where she is today!
Even though there are fears about the future, about the unknowns and what will happen, we know that after school ends, after the lingering hugs and tearful goodbyes, she will have that safe haven to come back to. A place to soak in the love and comfort of home. To reset when life gets to be too much.
Kaeleigh- It was an honor to get to meet you and work with you as you graduate high school. We know that you have great things ahead of you, and we are so glad that you have the loving support of your mom. We truly loved seeing your love and respect for her in return and the warm relationship that you have. That’s something that will stay with you forever, and you will always have that to lean on and look back on with appreciating through these changing years for you. You will always be a better person for it, and a testament to the strength and care that has been passed on to you, in turn to pass on to others.
We enjoyed our time with you, here are a few of the highlights of our session!
