Living in northeast Montana, do you feel like it is dry here?
Admittedly, we live in a fairly arid, dry climate- yet, sometimes I feel like Montana weather conspires against me.
Do we get blowing, torrential downpours like the midwest? No.
Do we get hurricanes, monsoons or tornadoes? Thankfully, no.
Yet, it seems to be the pattern that NEARLY every weekend, we have a session scheduled and these heavy, thick, black clouds come rolling in.
You see, I love sunshine. That warm, glowy, soft light that makes us happy, healthy and makes photographs seem ethereal- It’s my favorite thing in the world.
Only now, I don’t even question it anymore. As I pack up my gear, load up the car and head out, I look and see that black sky and just shake my head.
Here we go again, I think.
Thankfully, and I have to give the weather some grace, Leena’s session was a perfect blend of light cloud cover with some soft sun showing through.
Right as we were shooting her last shots, those dark, black clouds came rolling in, and this time, as I packed up my car and cast my gaze to the sky,
I was shaking my head in happiness at the perfect evening.
We had a truly lovely evening spending time with Leena. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out!
With the support of her mother, she has had relatively few challenges getting to graduation day, which is a rare thing and makes us so happy to hear.
Many struggle and sometimes give out before this day, so it is a privilege to get to capture these moments for a girl that has had a good time getting to
where she is.
Of course, like many of us, she has fears. Who of us doesn’t fear that overwhelming thought of failure, of not being able to accomplish what we set out to do?
Leena mentioned that fear, but we know that with her beautiful heart and smile, motivation and her mothers support, nothing will stop her!
Leena is planning on attending FPCC this fall and later transferring to Salish Kootenai College to major in Psychology- what a feat! And of course I may be partial to
her chosen courses as she is also interested in pursuing a Minor in Photography. Uuummm, may I recommend that path? 🙂
Leena, we loved working with you so much and we wish you nothing but the best of the best in your upcoming adventures! We really do hope that you get to pursue an education in Photography,
it really is the best and you have a beautiful personality for it! We really hope that you love your pictures, we couldn’t hardly pick our favorites, they all are! Be safe, make wise decisions, and have a wonderful summer!
Speaking of photography, enough of my thoughts, here’s the highlights from her session, we love them all!!
