I love urban shoots!

Don’t get me wrong, I love living in prairie and all of the beautiful settings that we have here, but I just don’t get to shoot urban session that much! So, when Hayden’s mom sent me her vision board with locations and ideas for a downtown session in Billings, I was so excited! I love these pictures, and feel that they match Hayden’s style and vibe so well! I knew Hayden when he was only 9 or 10 years old, but then Denton and I moved to Wolf Point and it’s been a while since we’ve caught up with a lot of people there. So, when Hayden and his dad met us downtown and I see Hayden as tall as his dad and the handsome young man that he has turned in to, it took me by surprise! I absolutely love getting to photograph friends and family, but when I get the opportunity to photograph old friends, and especially seniors, that I haven’t seen in a while, I have to make a conscious effort to not marvel at the passage of time and say “I knew you when you were ‘this’ big…” and be THAT person.

Anyway, it was such a great privilege to be able to document Hayden’s senior photos- here are some of my favorites!
