What a fantastic turnout! I have said this before, but I have to say it again… One of my favorite parts of taking pictures is the wonderful people that we get to meet along the way.

The Headdress family certainly fits into this! They were early for their session, which is always a win, and they were willing to traipse out into the badlands with us for a session 🙂

Their two children, Finesse and Essence, were a pleasant surprise –  They were a throwback to old school – much to the good! They were the sweetest and most polite children! Anything we asked, they were willing and ready to do, even when Essence got a cactus thorn in her foot! 🙁 (Sorry, girlie!)

We love taking pictures and capturing those laughs and smiles, but we also really love the little bits of time in between where we get to talk to and get to know the new friends that we meet. It was no different with Olivia and Chris.

We stood for a while after the session and just talked about life. How things change, how parenting has evolved and the pros and cons of that. We have to give them props and commendation for how they are raising their sweet kiddos and all of the work that we know goes into that. Good job, y’all! It was a pleasure to get to know them, and we look forward to getting to know them more in the future, maybe as the kids grow up and graduate, move on into the next stages of life.
