Wow. How quickly time passes. I’ve thought a long time about what to say for this post, but I feel like simple is the best.
In July 2017, we had the privilege of shooting a family session for Hunter and his mom and dad. We had a great time and captured some wonderful memories. As many of you know, Hunter’s dad passed away earlier this year, so when Chelsea contacted me about a session for her and hunter, I was thrilled to be able to freeze some new moments for them.
When Chelsea and I were communicating about our session for her and Hunter, I asked if there was anything that I should avoid doing or saying with Hunter, just to be sure. She said no, that Hunter would be ok and could even talk about his dad.
I was relieved at that, and thought that a fine testimony to the beautiful job that she is doing as a mother-the fact that he is so well rounded and balanced. She told me that Hunter wanted to take a picture with a framed photo of his dad from our last session, so that his dad could still be in the pictures.
I’m not sorry to say that immediately triggered tears for me. I was happy to know then, however, so that I could get that out of the way then and there instead of at our session.
Hunter is such a happy, polite little gentleman! Even though it was freezing out for our shoot, he was polite, and was such a trooper for trying out everything we asked him to do! I am so proud of Chelsea and the way she is taking care of her son.
Chelsea- The definition of perseverance is: “Continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.”
You certainly are a study in well displayed perseverance. It’s not easy to raise a child in the times we live in, and even more so on your own, but our time with you and hunter shows what a beautiful job that you are doing as a mother.
Hunter so obviously loves you, and the way that you look at him has absolutely melted my heart while finishing your gallery.
He is such a polite and kind boy, which is rare anymore, and the well balanced way that he is dealing with the loss of his daddy shows how well you have handled and trained him. The memories and times that you are making with him right now will be with him forever, and I am so thankful that you let us make memories for you that you will both have for a lifetime. We really do respect and admire you for the job hat you are doing, and we look forward to seeing you both continue to grow and thrive! Thank you so much for our time together, here are some of my personal favorites from your session ( I don’t usually include the behind the scenes shots, but they were just so stinking cute that they really are a couple of my favorites of you two. I hope that’s ok!) 🙂
