It is amazing the difference that a couple of years can bring!
Last time we had the chance to photograph this family was a couple years ago when they were a sweet family of four- and now they have grown by two into an amazing family of 6!
A fun part of this was also getting to have some breakout sessions with with Adriann’s sister, Kaileen and her family, and their mother Patti jo and her husband Dusty!
We absolutely love this (whole) family.
They are all so sweet and fun to work with, they have a wonderful sense of style (just look at some of these photos!) and are raising sweet, well mannered children.
Something that we wanted to highlight today were a few comments that Adriann and Griffin mentioned.
Along with leading extremely busy lives with Griffin coaching and being active in the community, as well as Adriann being a radio personality and running a business- adjusting to being self employed- they now have two little ones under 3! How amazing is that! With all of this going on, we imagined that life could get pretty hectic. That’s why we were touched to hear how Adriann expressed her appreciation for different ones in her life who assisted her with this.
She said that when she was juggling a million different things or calling a game, someone would come up to her and take the littlest one, Zael, and watch him for her so that she could direct her attention to the job that she had at hand, without worrying if Zael was safe. She mentioned that the community had made it possible for their family to keep everything running with their support and practical assistance during some of the families busiest times.
That is how things used to function, and indeed it worked well. A mother and father could be busy working with the necessities of life and a child could be in the care of their auntie, their grandmother or grandfather or cousin. They received care and love, and they also learned the responsibility of listening to and giving respect to others.
It made us happy to hear that this is not entirely a concept of the past, that a sense of community a lending a hand still exists. We can’t get through this life without one another. We need each other to succeed, to be happy and thrive- that’s how we were made.
We just wanted to send a SHOUTOUT to that! Sometimes a sense of community or the good things of our circles can be lost amid a constant flood of negativity, but there is still so much good – and good people – in our world! Thank you, Adriann and Griffin, for all that you do, and for the wonderful examples that you set!
Can’t wait for next time!
