We spent the summer in the Amazon. Not the greatest time to go to an equatorial jungle, but we had a great time! The humid air was great for my skin, but my curly hair spent three months insisting it needed to be free to express itself in how it could be twice the size of my head.
We went to Guyana, the only English speaking country in South America. Formerly known as British Guiana, and a part of the British West Indies of the Caribbean, the nation gained independence in 1966. Guyana boasts ones of the largest untouched portions of amazon rain forests in the world and is now marketing eco-tourism for its rich array of plants, animals and birds- with new species still being discovered!
While we loved our time and the people there, there is still something about home that calls to you. We missed the dust, the dry air, boots and cowboy hats that make up our way of life here. How nicely it worked out, then, that Chris was our first session once we got back! Growing up on a cattle ranch and fully committed to a way of life that is essential to our modern lives, he is the perfect guy to reflect Montana, the life and the families that make it up.
When Chris said he wanted some shots with his horse, we were in heaven. A good looking senior, a good looking horse (Who was cheesing it up for the camera!) and a beautiful day combined for a great time.
We are so proud of Chris and looking forward to his graduation day. He was great and so much fun to work with, and while it is crazy to see him all ready to leave school, we know he will go far and have great things ahead of him!
