I have recently fallen in love with hats!
Some of my ladies in the last few sessions have been wearing hats, and I love it!
This hat was beaded by Gracelyn’s mom, Jen. When she pulled it out, I already knew I wanted to shoot a lot of images with it. When Gracelyn put it on, however, it was over!
This was a bit of a difficult session for Gracelyn. Having a photo session where the spotlight is on her wasn’t her favorite things! Her mom said that even at home, she does not like having her pictures taken, so this was understandably a stretch for her!
She did an amazing job, despite those challenges, and we really appreciated getting to spend the evening together- and we got some gorgeous pictures that we (and hopefully she) love!
Denton and I have known Gracelyn’s family for years now. We shot Gracelyn’s older sisters senior photos in 2017 and had been looking forward to Gracelyn’s graduation!
This year, however, Gracelyn’s family has went through far more than their share of tragedy.
Without rehashing all of the events of the year, we just knew that we wanted to help their family out and provide some kind of assistance, so Denton and I were happy to be able to personally sponsor this senior photo session for Gracelyn and her family, to take one more burden off of their plate.
The session went great, and we enjoyed being able to spend a while after the session was over and watch the sun set as we visited with them both.
We knew that we had some lovely pictures of Gracelyn, but we where still thrilled when we got home and uploaded her images! She was absolutely glowing in her ribbon skirt and fall colors. Some of our favorite images are, indeed, with the gorgeous had that Jen beaded, so take a look at some of our favorites below!
Love these pictures and even more I love Gracelyn and her family. Beautiful and absolutely amazing photo shoot.
Isn’t she beautiful!? 😊
